The first step of this process is to read these simple rules and be sure to be safe when participating in all of the Red Ribbon Social Media Treasure Hunt activities!
1. Entrants must be 12 – 18 years of age (or in grades 6th through 12th).
2. All campaign submissions (text, images and Videos) become the property of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs and PublicAwarenessCampaign.com and all submissions may be used in a variety of large media/internet projects or promoted for the purposes of the campaign.
3. Any videos that are submitted for the campaign should not exceed 120 seconds.
4. Anything submitted which is considered ‘inappropriate” will be disqualified. (Examples include: obscenities, nudity, vulgarity, anything that appears to promote underage drinking or drug use, etc.)
5. Copyrights must be honored. It’s the law!!!
We love popular music and famous brands just like everyone does! However, the use of copyrighted materials (such as popular music or brand names) is NOT PERMITTED without written permission of the material’s owner. It is the responsibility of the entrant and entrant sponsor to secure written permission needed for use of any copyrighted, trademarked or protected materials.
6. Prizes which are awarded throughout the campaign will be decided upon at the discretion of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs and may include but are not limited to:
a. Committee Review
b. Random Selection
c. Selections based on total participation
d. Peer review and voting
All winners will be contacted and their residential address will be verified to ensure that they attend a school in the awareness campaign awareness zone
7. Students that can participate in this campaign must attend a school in one of the following counties or zip codes:
